Mission and Beliefs

VISION

WE ARE COMMITTED TO DEVELOPING A SCHOOL-WIDE CULTURE THAT IS DEDICATED TO providing our students with opportunities to develop the industry-driven skills and the innovative edge needed for the high-demand careers of today and the emerging technologies of tomorrow.

MISSION

THE MISSION OF THE DENNIS TECHNICAL EDUCATION CENTER IS TO provide students a competitive advantage by fostering the development of the necessary skill-set and professional network to seek out technical training, collegiate opportunities, or enter the workforce as a contributing member of their industry from day one, following graduation.

VALUES

  • Student First Mentality: Everything we say and everything we do will be done with each student’s best interest at the forefront. This is more than a statement or belief. We live it!

  • Quality Teaching and Learning: Commitment to excellence is in everything we do. Our primary purpose of developing talent and challenging students to reach their personal best is supported by instruction that begins with a clear objective, followed by sequential skill development steps, and ongoing checks for understanding.

  • High Expectations: CTE program concentrators will leave high school with technical and academic skills that prepare them to enter post-secondary training, college, or the workforce.

  • Personalized Learning: We know our students as individuals and strive to inspire them by connecting their unique interests and skills with industry needs.

  • Innovation: Creative leadership, cutting-edge curriculum design, and effective instructional delivery converge to meet the needs of an ever-changing local and global economy. We pursue innovation and exploration inside and outside of our curriculum and classrooms.

  • Leadership: We seek to inspire and engage our students to turn their passion into a career and support them as they take a lead role in creating their future.  Leadership opportunities are purposefully embedded in our culture and students are provided opportunities to develop skills through Career and Technical Student Organizations.

  • Collaboration: We develop partnerships with our local industries and community, united by a shared responsibility and passion to educate our students and prepare them for high-demand career pathways.

  • Career Planning: Every student will graduate with a plan, supported by instructors, parents, counselors, and administrators to guide each student’s career aspirations.
